Hello Everyone. First time Chicken owner here and have been feeling like quite the idiot the past few weeks. I recently purchased some chicks from my local TSC. I should have payed more attention, but that is my own fault, as I was going after “unique” and “pretty” chickens. I need help identifying one breed of chick, and the gender for a few others. I purchased 5. I know that 2 were pullets (Lavander Orpington Not pictured) and two straight runs (One Phoenix), So I am unsure if the Silver laced Wyandotte or the Americauna was the pullet or straight run. I also picked up a random bantam, and I am unsure of what the bantam is (Breed and sex) From research, it looks like it could be a Red Pyle OEGB, or possibly a Cornish cross? I think it might be a Roo just by the comb size, but I am novice in the chicken world. The others would just be curious to see if you can take a stab at what it could possibly be, sex wise even though I know it is really early. I assume they are probably about 4 weeks old, purchased them 4/25/2022. I look forward to posting here and getting to know everyone! The white/yellowish is the bantam that I am unsure about**

No chicks are screaming cockerel yet, although they are young! The bantam does look to be a Red Pyle Old English Game Bantam and as long as the Phoenix continues to keep a brown/salmon breast, it is a pullet! Oddly enough, your Ameraucana may actually be the named breed rather than Easter Egger. (Most of the time the two are confused!) Were the other Ameraucanas in the bin shades of white, grey, or black? Is its skin yellow or white on the bottoms of its feet? It may just be a blue Easter Egger :)

I do believe so about the Ameraucanas colors. I will say, that I chose to get one of the lighter ones if that makes a difference. I will attach a picture of the bottom of its feet. Thank you for all of the information! I really appreciate it.

You're welcome! Right now the bottoms do look more yellow to me which would indicate Easter Egger but at this age sometimes the full color hasn't developed yet so it still could have white skin! Sometimes the skin on the feet will also get stained. Maybe update in a week or two? :)

Will do! Thanks again! It is so interesting that you mentioned it could be be an Easter Egger, I would have never known.

If they came from TSC then they came from Hoovers. They don't have actual Ameraucanas, only their own cross that they call an Americana. Which means it is basically one of their EE type of crosses. (I only know all this because I just recently ordered chicks from TSC and found out all theirs currently come from Hoovers.)
