Newbie needs help

    I'm new to this, so bear with me please. We just got a buff orpington with her four babies. They are approximately 4-5 weeks ( I think). Three look similar with no real "puff" at their butt but one has a puff of feathers in the back. We're wondering if we will have 3 hens and 1 rooster or 3 roosters and 1 hen! [​IMG]

    The "odd" chicken out was roosting on mom's back when I went out. In the group shot, he/she is on the far right. Hoping the pictures are okay! They run around so quick! :p

    I'd say you have two roosters and one pullet. They are still pretty young, though.

    I agree with the above two posters, you seem to have two cockerels and a pullet. Post some more photos in a few weeks though. Orpingtons are often quite difficult to sex until they get older.
