What is "lockdown"? I'm hatching for the first time, have read about it, but notice posters referring to lockdown. Didn't see it in my reading. Thanks!

Its the last few days before hatching where you stop turning eggs, bump the humidity up, and Do Not touch the 'bator no matter how much you want to...

day 18 take your eggs out of truner, bring humidity up to about 70% & let it go at that, should start hatching between 19 - 21st day, pm me if you like.

Thanks so much for your replies! I'm looking forward to this first hatch. Actually got them to put under a broody hen, but she stopped being broody just when I got the eggs. My 12 yr old son is deeply involved, so I really hope all goes well.
