I have some pullets that are about two weeks old. Is it safe to add day-old chicks in with these in the brooder or would it be better to wait until I move the pullets outdoors?

    Thanks!

I'd kept my new ones separate for a week or so, just to make sure they didn't bring any diseases, before I mixed them. They sure did look different, but they were fine. Just make sure your brooder is big enough and watch them for a while after you put them together. I say do it soon and don't wait until they go outside.

You can put them together. Careful of pecking though. Some people, for small chicks, create a compartment in the brooder with a small hole that only the little ones can fit through, so they can take shelter on the other side if needed.
Should be all right though, they're still young.
