Hello out there. I am brand new to this section. I have been a vegetarian for years, but i want to raise my own meat for my family.(Just two people, three dogs and a cat.) I have a question about pigeons. I have one breeding pair sitting on some eggs right now. I want to learn about squabs. What age? Butchering, the best way to kill them and maybe some recipes. I have never eaten pigeon. If any one might be able to point me in the right direction. Also does anyone raise there marans for meat? I have a few chics and they are growing rapidly. I have a year ear old marans and she seems to have a nice shape for a meat bird. Thank you for any advice. I have a lot of research to do.
