My three chicks are 1.5 weeks old and definitely developing pasty butt. I am feeding plenty of fresh water plus medicated chick starter feed. Is there anything I can add to their food or water to help clear up any blockage? Thanks!

it needs to be Organic apple cider vinegar, with the living mother in the jar. I use Bragg's brand. 1tsp per gallon of water

I would also trim the feathers around their vent to help keep the area clean, you can also wet it down with antibiotic oinment and "style" the feathers out of the way so they don't get stuck and make the clog worse.

do you give them chick grit? chick grit is regular grit cut up smaller for their small beaks. it is important in aiding digestion, just sprinkle it on top of their food like you would table salt.

You can just use a dab of cooking oil instead of antibiotic ointment to keep the poops from sticking to butt feathers.
