Hi Everyone,
I just got into raising chickens in June. I have always wanted to raise Serama/Bantam chickens since I seen one on the Friends sitcom Joey's pet. Well since my nephews wanted a farm experience when they visited this summer for a month, I bought some Seramas. I think they have good personalities, tame, awesome colors, and attitude. Not to mention they are small and don't need much room and don't crow as loud. Except for my pint size silkie can belt it out. Well anyways, I have 5 seramas. Two roosters and three hens. It was fun building the first coop, but I am having trouble getting them to get down the ladder. It is about 3 feet high. That is a different topic which I will start a thread on next. I am new to Sermas and don't know much about what they like to eat and how to keep them healthy. Mine don't seem to have much of an appetite. I don't know if they are selective or sick. There stool seems dry and ok. Well, I hope to share info and experiences with other members to see what works and how to do stuff. Hopefully I can help someone with my experiences.
Thanks,
Tommy
