Hi, there. I'm new to raising chickens and I have a sick hen. I got my hens from an acquaintance two and a half weeks ago--two gold sex linked and two black. A week ago one passed overnight, with really no symptoms other than she went to bed a bit early. I put Immune Boost in their water that night in hopes she would perk up, but that clearly didn't work. Sunday I noticed a hen was hunkered down and she had a bit of mucus and foam in her poop. I ran out and got some Corid and began treatment immediately. They all have had an increase in appetite and have been acting normal. This morning I went to check on them again and the one that was down Sunday is down again. She is not very active, laying down, but upright. Her red bits all look good, feathers shiny, eyes and nostrils clear, no mites, no visible worms in poop. She laid an egg yesterday. Any thoughts? I am stumped.

Might it help to give some Duramycin also? Can I give that at the same time as Corid? I have not been using Immune Boost since I started the Corid. I have Tylan on the way. Getting my medicine cabinet stocked!

I appreciated your help. I'm very frustrated here. I feel like I'm failing them!

I should mention we have had some crazy weather here the last few days. It was 90 on Monday and now 50 and raining. Welcome to Seattle!
