Hello all I'm new as well. I have a interest in raising quail. I've never raised any before but want to try it.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. I don't know anything about quail but you can put "Quail thread," in the search box and it should pop up.

Hi and welcome to BYC. I know how to eat 'em, but not raise them, but theres quite a few members here that do keep quail so they'll be able to advise you.

    All the best

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm a chicken person and don't know much about quail (never had any), but definitely post on our Quail section in Other Backyard Poultry under the Forum at the top of the page and take advantage of our quail experts there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Want to say thanks to everyone for welcoming me to byc. I first got interested in it when I was in High school in FFA every year we would have a petting zoo for the kids at the area elementary schools and saw my ag teacher put a quail to sleep by turning him over and rubbing his stomach. And last year my dad raised some chickens and it got my wheels turning. Can't really find any one around me with them. Thanks again for the welcome and looking forward to talking with yall

I show poultry through FFA! My chapter used to do a petting zoo but for the past few years we haven't been. You can try in your state thread. Type in your state in the search bar and choose the thread under the Where Am I? Where Are You? forum.
