Hi all. I am a first timer at chickens. I recently moved out to a rural area 2 years ago. I plan on gardening, farming ect. I just bought 12 chicks and do NOT have a clue what I'm doing. I have been researching and reading but feel very overwhelmed. I have 10 chicks almost a week old and 2 that are 3 weeks old. I worry about pecking, feed, health and everything else. I am very dedicated and will do what it takes. I am on 4acres. Any suggestions, tips, advice will be appreciated!!! Thanks in advance

Welcome to Backyard chickens. You've got questions, the Learning Center has answers. It's the best place to start a poultry education.

x2 on the Learning Center and your state thread...both are great resources to help you feel more comfortable with raising chickens. You can also use the search box in the upper left (under the logo) to help you find answers to any questions.

Good luck, it's nice to have you here!
