Hi everyone! My name is Jenni and I am a new baby chick mama. We have 5 that we bought from the local Theisens. I have had them for 1 week and they have grown so fast already, developing their own little personalities. I am in Iowa so they are inside for now as we await being able to put their cute lil tushies outside. They all pretty much look the same so far except a few different facial features. 1 of them, we call her Pb, came home w pasty butt (this her name lol) that we can't seem to kick. Any guidance w this? I am cleaning her tush and putting ointment on it. But I work. And sometimes after a 15 hour shift I can tell the ointment is gone and she is icky again. Here's my babes![IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

Hi Jenni and welcome to BYC. congrats on your new little flock. Here's a search that should have some links that will help you - https://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=pasty+butt

This link may also be useful at the moment - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/raising-your-baby-chicks

More generally, you'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224
