1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

We have had Chickys off and on over the last several years. It all started when our daughter was little and wanted chickens.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

At this time we have one rooster, Rockin' Rocky the Barred Rock Rooster, six hens and eight chicks on two acres.

(3) What breeds do you have?

Plymouth Barred Rock, Buff Orpington, Blue Andalusion.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

We found out about BackYardChickens from various research inquiries.


(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Gardening, Beading, spending time with family.


(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

We have two grown kids, family dog and a couple of kitties. And a bobcat problem!


(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

We found BYC while researching information regarding hens.
