We ordered 27 chicks and received them in the mai in Jan. They are doing great, we lost 3 which was very hard. We now have 4 we just htched on our own in a incubator and more on the way. This is a lot of fun. Teres a great book, we got at Lowes, called Keeping Chickens. Good luck

Quote:I second this. Use the search feature and learn all you need to about brooders, feeding, caring for chicks, chicken behaviors, broody birds, etc. It is no fun to in the middle of something and not know what to do.
