My family and I have a generous size yard and we are avid gardeners. I have always wanted to raise chickens. In our city we are allowed 2 hens. This winter I plan to build a coop and in the Spring I hope to have chickens! I have so many question and I am sure that more will arise each day. *Excited to join such an informative forum [IMG]

I would definitely check out the Learning Center, which Sumi provided a link to. That contains plenty of information for beginner chicken raisers.

Also, feel free to ask any specific questions that you have! We're all here to help. [IMG]

[IMG] So glad you joined us.

You ought to try to get some support from other chicken lovers to get the ordinances increased to at least 3-4 chickens - argue they will be happier and quieter with a flock and not duo. But 2 is much better than none.
