Hi everyone! My name is Morgan and I just got 5 chicks on Saturday..a Rhode Island Red, Buff Orphington, Silver Laced Wynadotte, Plymouth Barred Rock, and Black Sexlink. I'm super excited about them, although I am a little nervous about keeping them safe/warm once they are moved outside, and also hoping I didn't get any roos! I've been browsing the site for a while now and have already learned a lot. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions in the next few months!

Welcome to BYC, Morgan! Glad you decided to join our flock. It looks like you've got a duplicate thread. But as I stated in my greeting on your other thread, you have a great mix of chicks. Black Sex Links are my favorites; hardy and friendly egg laying machines. I've raised them for years and they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 egg per hen per year. I also love the beauty and calm, gentle personalities of the Buff Orpingtons. My children, and now my granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) made lap pets of them. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Welcome to BYC! [IMG]We're glad to have you.

Good luck with your new chicks! Wyandottes are my favorite breed, and I'm sure you'll enjoy yours! Mine have been personable, docile birds and very good egg layers, through heat and cold.
