(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
we actually had some chickens, our first this past spring but have discovered our real joy is raising turkeys and ducks.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Zero, but 2 ducks and 6 turkeys
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 pekin duck, 1 mallard duck, 3 narragansett turkeys, 1 royal palm turkey, 1 bourbon red turkey
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The turkeys are such characters. And the ducks are goofy. Just fun.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Hunting, fishing, reading, writing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Family of 5, 3 kids in middle and high school, 4 dogs, and now birds on our little slightly suburban patch of ground in New Mexico. Hubby and I both work full time so its a challenge.

Every time I google with questions about diet, health, breeds, or other things I find answers here. Decided to get serous.
