newborn chicks. do they need grit?

    soo my eggs are hatching. right now i have one chick that hatched sometime during the night last night.. i got some chick starter feed. do they need grit when their this young? [​IMG] sorry. noob here at hatching chicks haha

    also. do i need to so anything with the starter feed? like wet it or anything?.. gahh im so clueless [​IMG]

    No, they only need grit when their fed any thing other then their chick feed, like treats.

    No, they just need the food and water no need to wet their feed.​

    I agree with the above post. I use medicated Starter/Grower crumbles. The medication is sulfa based and only helps the chicks in developing their immunity to cocci.
