Incubating eggs
Wow! What an interesting process.
It was like having a newborn , especially at humidity stage.
We were running 2 Janoel units (a 24 /24s).
I was very padantic with temp setup a few days prior.
Followed the instructions of water addition.
We candled , and found movement at day 14. Locked down at day 18.
At 21 days we could see movement and no pipping on some. 1 on day 21 was the strong one- its still with us.
We rescued a few by self pipping to intervene non success by chick alone.

Out of 20 eggs , some our own and some purchased , we currently have 6 healthy chick's.
Originally we had 11 , the weak didn't survive.
The remainder didn't develop(3) , the rest went full develop , just zero pipping.
Not sure what happened as the basis was there for successful hatching (90%). Drowned? Shrink wrapped?

We are stoked on our healthy 6 chicks. As we went in with small expectation we are happy.
They are our Brahmas , so even happier.

Next round we may try dry incubation. Thoughts??

We have got a humidity controller which will inject water when needed, as I found most off the shelf hydrometers were so OFF. 10% between 1 or the other in some instances..

In another few weeks we might try 20 more.
Can someone share their dry incubation regime please.

Happy hatching.
Greetings from Sth Australia.
