    Hi everyone!!!

This is my first post and my first flock :)

Last Sunday I bought 8 year old muscovies, 3 drakes and 5 hens. The first two days they laid 3 and 2 eggs respectively. They haven't laid any eggs since.
They are in a garage with a dirt floor. Are feed a 16% layer pellet and sweet feed as extra supplement. I feed approximately 8 cups, 4 of each in the morning.

They stayed in the garage for a full week to acclimate them to their new home before I let them free range. They don't travel very far away from the garage and they don't stay out for very long. At first, they were not fans of me, however, now they let me come within a couple inches because they know I give them food and water.

I'm not sure if they are not laying because they are still adjusting.

Also, in the past couple days I found a lot of small feathers. Are they beginning to molt and have stopped egg production because of this? How long does molting last?

    Thanks everyone,
    Jazzmyn

[IMG] Birds hate change. They are still adjusting to their new environment. The eggs that were laid were the eggs that were 'in process' in the reproductive tract. Be patient they will start laying again.
