Newly hatched baby chick. Don’t know what to do!!! Please help!

Hello everyone, I had a baby chick hatch. We took it from the hens because one of our hens was pecking it. I put it under a heat lamp. I’m not sure what to do now!!!

You wait and see if it gets stronger over time. It looks very freshly hatched. Make sure it's warm enough under the light. 85-90 degrees.

You may also want to get it off the plastic. Plastic can feel hotter than the surrounding air under a light. Adding more bedding or taking it out of the plastic container if you can will help.

I'd find the hen that hatched it and move mama and baby to an area away from the other chickens. She will protect it and raise it for you.
