I have a newly hatch silkie whose outside toe is curled under on both feet. It is walking on top of those toes but getting around fine. Has anyone experienced this? Should I try to tape a brace on? [IMG] Is this inherited?

One thing a friend of mine did, is she taped a dime to the bottom of each foot, shaping the toes how they should be when they were normal. Apparently that helped because the chick is much better.

I think you could use vet wrap or even a waterproof bandage (Bandaid) to tape the coin under the foot.....
