Newly laying pullets think I am their rooster!!

My pullets just started laying last week. Today as I was hand feeding them scraps, I went to pet one down her back and she squatted! Kinda grossed me out and tickled me to death at the same time! I was unsure if the 5 chicks I kept back were boys or girls so I used the squat test, lol! They all squatted for me, so yay they are all girls. Has anyone else observed this behavior?

My girls do that all the time, my 5yo son loves it as that's his opportunity to snatch them up & hold them.

When I try and grab my two they squat aswell lol.

My willing squatters are all easy game for my 3 yo son, he snatches them up to carry them around. I can't wait for my black sex links to squat!
