I just asked for poultry nipples at the feed store. They only had one option but they were threaded. So we screwed them in and glued in to the bucket.

I'm not familiar with push in? We purchased screw in and are very happy with them. We used a 5 gallon bucket with a lid, drilled a hole (smaller than the screw), and screwed them right in!
We learned two lessons:
1. Don't screw them in too tight or they will leak.
2. Drill a couple of holes at the top of the bucket because with a sealed lid it will create a vacuum as the chickens drink and then after a bit the water won't come out!
