I know this is an old post, but I have been wondering the same thing..have you found a local silkie breeder in northern NJ?

The best place to get Silkies is at the Sussex County Show in a few weeks. I believe the closest NJ "breeder" is in the south & her name is Linda @ Dreams Do Come True Farm just over an hour from Bridgewater.
