I came across BYCs in the search of unique eggs for a unique craft project (will explain shortly)... but this got me thinking about owning chickens again. I was raised in the County, 4H kid and always loved chickens. Since marrying a city boy (from ATL), I have never thought about owning any livestock animals, minus our 4 house rabbits. One issue is we live in the city and two reasonable husband that keeps me in check...

But, I want the same farm type experience for our children to have, and our first child is due this December! So nothing will be added to our home until spring, once we get in the flow of being new parents.

Now back to the unique project. I have been looking at gender reveal ideas and couldn't find anything I loved, until I found gender reveal eggs. Blown out eggs, with messages placed inside. Add cute deco box with crack me message, it was perfect. Now where to find eggs? I am not sure where to find unique eggs.... help?

Any idea if I can post an ISO post? I'd rather work with non fertile eggs. I've also looked at quail, guinea, duck, and turkey eggs but do they lay year round?
