So I have 2 Cochin chicks
They are a month old but the thing is I never see them with a full crop always empty
They are growing and they are eating but never a full crop.
Do you think it’s because they have access to feed 24/7 that’s why they don’t bother saving up food in their crop or what do you think?
sorry about my English if it’s wrong
It’s not my language

Your English is perfect.
I think you will start seeing the bigger crops soon. In young chicks, sometimes they are just really good at regulating how much they eat, and, like you said, they eat all day and night.
Soon, they will begin to eat more during the day and less at night, especially if you start turning off the light at night.
They grow so extremely fast as young chicks, I don’t think it even has time to build up.
