I had a broody hen so put a random selection of eggs underneath her. This chick has come out with green feathered legs and an extra toe...
I only have one other bird with green legs and she is an Old English Game bird and im pretty sure it wasn't her eggs that went under.
I have a white silkie cockerel who is in with a calder ranger and a commercial brown - but would that produce the green legs?

to keep up with her Mama. lol What a cutie. As for her looking scruffy,

Wow, I have never seen green legs before, maybe they will change to dark gray as she ages.

I know Easter eggers have green"ish" legs. But those are really green. Cool looking chick.

its the extra toe that is confusing me too! The other chick born at the same time has an extra toe too but Im pretty sure she's from the egg produced by a black silkie/sultan with white silkie, which is understandable...but this one...no other eggs were used from that flock so no idea where the extra toe has come from...:hmm
