At long last, after 20 weeks, Pearl (finally) layed the first egg today! Yay!!!!

It was about an inch and a half long, creamy white, with a nice hard shell. It's in my fridge now.
She even layed it in one of the nest boxes! I was/am so proud of her!

Eight more 'first eggs' to go! I'm so excited!

We didn't eat it yet. My sweet girl layed another one this morning! I figured it would be kind of sporadic, and was prepared to only get a couple a week for a while. DH is bringing her a bag of crickets from the bait shop today! Yummy!

my hubby likes my scrambled eggs, i put a few dashes of chipotle tobassco sauce in it with some salt and pepper a dash of milk. yummy!

yes... i remember my very first egg,,such joy..its like i was the first to discover that an egg actually came from a chicken..ha ha now i get 14 a week out of just 2 hens..its great
