Hello,
I apologize if this is in the wrong section. My unequal ratio of male to females are an issue right now and one of my two females is missing feathers on her neck and her wing has a slight injury. Ive separated her but they get together at night to sleep. Can I use no pec lotion on my duck so they will leave her alone. The lady at country max suggested to try it. Has anyone else had any luck with using that on ducks?

The missing feathers on her neck aren't because they are pecking her, it's because that's where the males grab when they mate her. The wing injury is likely due to overmating as well. Until you can get the male to female ratio fixed, I suggest separating some or all of the males from the females. No peck lotion isn't going to work because it's not a pecking behavior.

I understand that's from mating. The problem is plucky, my silver appleyard duck, pecks her neck on land just to be mean. He isn't mating w her. Then Luckys mate Howard goes after plucky. I was hoping the lotion would make him leave her alone.
