No regrets on this grand chicken adventure

Do you know Cornish x   are meat birds?  they eat constantly and grow fast to processing age ( about 10 weeks I believe).  If they are not slaughtered early, their growth outpaces their organs and their legs.  Either they die of heart attack, stroke, or their legs just give out.
yep we plan on processing them in a few days. I'm terrified but the hubby thinks he can handle it. We both want to be more self sufficient and so we thought getting the Cornish would be a good learning experience. Not sure if I'd ever do it again...how we handle d-day will tell. Neither of us has ever grown up on a farm so all of this is an adjustment. We are both excited to learn and grow from this experience.
