No Silkie Eggs At All

I have a silkie that is about 8 months old and there is still no egg yet. I know that she is a female and that her line is slow to mature. I mean obviously I have no choice but to wait and it will happen eventually but I was just wondering for other silkie owners when did yours start to lay?

A friend of mine didn't get a single egg till a little over 11 months old

Oh wow, I may have a ways to go then possibly. I have been sitting on pins and needles wanting to see how small it will be compared to a standard hen. But i suppose I will have to find some patience.
