I'm interested in raising chickens, but where I live (Florida Keys) there is no soil. They will be on concrete and pea rock.
    Is this alright?

I think it will be alright. You can always put down some straw or dirt, even sand works.

Try to get some sand to add to there run, pea gravel in the keys will be very hot plus they need a place to dust bath try having a bon fire on the beach and then bring home some of the sand with the wood ash in it and they will love dust bathing in it.
    Welcome and enjoy BYC !
