No tail feathers?

One my chicks (3 weeks) now has no tail feathers whatsoever. Now either I'm completely unobservant and missed this fact, or somehow in short order it lost every single tail feather.

Can anyone clue me in on what may have happened? Is it possible for it to simply have never grown tail feathers?

Nah, chances are it is either a slow grower or its tail feathers got plucked/picked out at some point. I've had that happen before. . . chick started to feather out, and what doesn't? It's tail. . . Didn't have a tail for a few months, then because it was a cockerel, suddenly grew a couple tail feathers.
