Is there such a thing as chicken food (store bought) that prevents chickens from laying? We have 5 girls and got some food that does NOT say for laying chickens and were wondering if that is why NONE of them are laying any eggs. We have had them three years and there has not been a time when ALL of them were not laying. Thanks.

No, the food isn't the cause. Their age is a large part of it. They may lay for several more years but it will be fewer and fewer eggs each year; they are past their prime laying of the first two years or so.

They may not lay much if any from now til spring, but you may see some eggs in the spring.

Of course, there could be other reasons -- if they free range, for example, they may have started laying outside the coop and hiding their nest. Here is a thread that runs through the various possibilities:

What poultry feed are they being fed, how much are you feeding them?
Are you feeding treats, if so what are they and about how much?
Do the free range?
