We are not sure about the girls, we got the chicks from a local petting farm that has cochins, barnvelders, silkies, buffs and leghorns. Ours seem to be a cross. some of them are pretty goofy looking. The owner of the farm is always incubating during their season (may-oct) so people can see them hatch, as a result he has more chicks than he knows what to do with and was happy to unload some on us. we have 16 chickens and 4 runner ducks in all
