Noodle Scratcher

Hey everyone heres a noodle scratcher.

We have chocolate muscovies,a drake and two hens. It seems that at day,one of the hens sits on the eggs,but at night,the drake takes over.Last night he was even hostile to me taking a sneeky peeky at him in the egg hidey-hole.

The noodle scratcher is: has anyone elses scovie drake done this? I know its common in penguins,but I don’t think my drake is part penguin,well I havent asked him,and he hasn’t told me,so I assume he isnt.

But anyways,anyone else seen this phenominon??

I had a drake once that would do alot of weird things - BEST DRAKE IVE EVER HAD! I still miss him

He would lead his girls around and go into all the nest houses, make a nest and then show it to the girls so they could sit.
He would also sit right inside the door of the nest of his favorite girl ( he had 8 ) and guard her nest.
He would also sit on eggs if he was near the nest and his girl decided to get off, often berating her for leaving her nest.

Monty was my old man, and the best Ive ever owned. He is the one in front.
