Northern regions - Hoop Houses (green houses)

Has anyone got one, or ever worked with one? I've been thinking about getting one and wonder if they're worth it.

I wish somebody could manufacture a pretty fabric chicken dome for suburban backyards. One the howling winter storms and the summer monsoons can't destroy, but lightweight enough to pick up and move around the yard, and predator proof. I ask for a lot.
