3 weeks ago i switched my flock, 7 RIR, 3 Bantams...to straight laying pellets, nothing else. Before that they were eating a flock maintainer with scratch mixed in. I have noticed that since I switched to layer feed, they hardly eat any food. I still throw them 1 cup of scratch a day...but it appears that they do not like the pellets at all. Would yall recommend switching feed?

Next question. Will changing feed effect egg production? If I switched them to a flock feed with oyster shell on the side, would it mess up the egg laying schedule??

    thanks for the help.

I have switched the brands of feed a few times. No problems. I have stayed with pellets though.
