Hello :) I just got my book about pet ducks the other day. Happy to say I've read it probably 4 times, it's great. Anyway, I was wondering when my ducks would start laying eggs. I got them in march so they are about 26 weeks old right now. I found a part of the book that was talking about food labels, so I was looking at my Purina bag and it said ducks start laying at like 20 weeks. I have two female mallards, what's going on? First picture is them as tiny peeps, the second is a recent picture.

Mallards are more seasonal layers. It is likely they won't start laying until next spring.

OK, and if they were having issues with egg binding, I'd notice, right? (Side note, they are with me pretty much constantly)

Yes you would notice a change in their behavior. Just remember, if they are pooping they are NOT egg bound.
