Hens stop laying HI I am wondering if a hen will stop producing eggs if a rooster comes into the picture? I have two hens who were laying every second day & now with my rooster they have stopped. Is there any reason why they would not be laying or do I just have to wait and see - it has been about 3 weeks now - No eggs!!! Cheers

Any type of stress (and a new rooster can certainly cause stress, especially if they don't care for him or he's rough/aggressive) can cause egg production to stop. But it's typically only temporary - they generally start back within a few weeks.
