I have two brahma bantam hens in with a rooster of the same kind. They are younger and have just starteed laying eggs about a month ago. The hens lay about 1 a day each. But neither of them lay on them, just pop them out and leave them. How do I get them to lay on them?

They are doing what they are supposed to do. The hens won't set on the eggs and try to hatch them until they go broody. This comes about naturally and some breeds are more broody than others. Not sure about Buff Brahmas...

Yep. They are doing their jobs. Lay egg for human to eat. I dont know about that breed, but chances are the broody nature of them have been bred out and you will be lucky if they ever want to sit on eggs. If you want chicks, you'll have to incubate them yourself usually.

If they just barely started to lay a month ago, it is too soon for them to go broody. Brahmas are generally good broody hens; they just need a little time.
