My kids are with their dad. Just me and hubby home with the animals.
I just called my girls and got Merry Christmas mom love can't talk now bye. My 16 yr old. She's always been a mommys girl and a chatterbox on the phone.
I guess my feelings are hurt.

    Big hugs to you!

It is probably just the fact that she's 16 and probably had people hovering over her, or maybe there was a lot of noise in the background that you couldn't hear & she just didn't want to have a lot of conflict?? She loves you still.

I miss my kids, too, though. We're all pretty bummed around here today. We were thinking this was the second year in a row we couldn't afford Christmas presents, but we got to talking, and it's actually the 3rd. Last time we had a tree and presents & had the kids/grandkids over for Christmas supper was 2008.

Coming from another teenager with her dad for Christmas... Don't take it personally. I called home this morning and got voicemail and was almost glad. It's really awkward to talk to one parent where the other can hear you. "Miss you, can't wait to come home- Oh shoot, Dad's standing there. I mean.... Having a great time love you bye!"
Maybe she'll call you back later? [IMG]

[IMG] Listen to Eenie - she is viewing the situation from the child's perespective. Enjoy your time with your husband. [IMG]

I talked to the older kid tonight and feel much better.
Part of it is that I don't really trust the situation at their dads, but have no choice.
    talking to kid 1 helped
