Not sure if he's an Australorp or Jersey Giant

Check the bottoms of his feet. If they are an obvious yellow, he's a Black Jersey Giant. If they are any other color (whitish, pinkish, grayish), he's a Black Australorp.

With white skin, Australorp is the only breed that fits. Males can be pretty big, well over 8 pounds.

What about these girls with him? They're of unknown age and terrrified of me. I'd like to know what they are and any pointers on how to get them used to me would be great

They look to be some sort of game bird and treats are the true way to a chicken's heart.

I guess game would explain the dark one having a single spur on one leg. I swear she's a she.
