not sure of gender!

    ok so i bought 5 coturnix quail a few days ago, i thought i did a good job sexing them by breast color

    i could only get pics of three before i got them mixed up again lol i'll go back and get all 5 when i can(maybe i'll tag them [​IMG])

    i'm afraid i might have botched up and gotten more males then i originally wanted

    sorry about the quality of the last 4 photo, my nikon d50 pooped out or something after first shot

    gonna get it fixed and take new photo's if anyone needs a better shot

    you think really?!

    i was going for one male and rest female, i was hoping that i picked right, but i saw the bronze on some of the would-be females and got worried

    The hens sometimes have a little brown to them on the chest but the speckles are there so they are ladies [​IMG]

    ah ok, so thats another main difference is that the females have the black on them still, even if it is a little bronze?
