    Hi all

I've had my first ever hatch of incubated eggs two days ago. One chick was very weak and I separated her from the others. She was very weak and did not move around at all. Today, when I was checking up on her, I found her dead in the brooder and there was yellow fluid coming out of her butt. Does anyone know why this happened? Is the yellow fluid a sign of illness? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!! :)

I'm sorry. Sounds like it ruptured the yolk sac. Nothing you could have done.

Thank you for your reply :) Is there a specific reason why the yolk sac would rupture, or does it just happen?
