Now What? Lucy the Lavender Orpington pullet is now Larry the Rooster.

I bought pullets to avoid this situation and yesterday I heard what sounded very much like crowing coming from the chicken tractor. I live in Renton and I doubt my neighbors would be to happy about having to listen to him day in and day out. I have placed an ad on CL, but am not holding my breath. Plan B would be to find a butcher to slaughter him. Any suggestions as to where I can find one?

I don't know about a butcher. It seems that most people who have chickens eventually get a "pullet" that ends up being a rooster instead. It happens. My favorite rooster was supposed to be a pullet.

Well Larry got lucky and has gone to live in Eastern Washington with a large flock of hens.
