My number 8 button has hatched.
    Its a blonde too.
    So that makes the count
    1 ash
    4 blonde
    3 wilds

Why can't I take my eyes off the eggs?

    I am obsessed I think.

9 is here and has tucked itself in a wash cloth with 8.

10 is about half way there and 11 is about 1/4 way there.

There is now numbers 13 and 14 who have just pipped.

    Nope no all nighters.
I headed to bed at 11pm, then got up at 2am and then at 4am.

I now have 5 fluffy chicks in the incubator and more eggs doing their thing.

I will let them join their friends outside in the brooder when the sun comes up.

My favourite channel is "Quail TV"

I love to look at the shells after the quail hatch. They are perfectly zipped all the way around and the little cap just pops off......

I love when some of them wear the shell as a little helmet. About 5 did it and it was so funny to watch as they were stumbling around like they were drunk.
