Number Two Started Laying!!!

4:30- Looks like Rosie's finally getting ready! She very restless, panting hard, kept hiding in the yard for the last hour or so, now is up scratching around in the nesting box. I hear an egg song in my future.

5:00- just laid her first egg! Drinking lots of water, poor girl, it's so hot!

We'll see when #3, Pru, starts...

No egg today, maybe tomorrow. I noticed once Sarah was on egg #4, she laid like clock work...

Congrats! She'll get into a routine of sorts at some point, right?
I'm still waiting on mine to lay one, just one...doesn't even have to be a big one; yet!

Yes, they develop a pattern- Sarah had her first two eggs in the mid afternoon, then late morning, then early morning. I hear her "singing" usually 7-8ish a.m. Took her a week or so to normalize. I think Rosie will be the same probably...
