I've actually been to Gallup and another town outside of Gallup... It starts with a T... Don't remember the name and I couldn't even pronounce it anyway!

......a town outside Gallup...starts with a "T". Could be Tohatchi (pronounced toe-hat-chee) or could be Thoreau (pronounced The Roo)There are a few other nearby communities that also start with a "T" , many are Navajo names......some difficult to pronounce unless you are familiar with them.

Best Regards, all,
Bruce

Hello, I am in Farmington, NM. Not very many New Mexicians on these chicken forums.

Hello SouthwesternNann !!!

I am honored that your first posting was to my thread!

NW New Mexico is supposed to have nicer weather for a few days, beginning today!

What do you have for chickens and can you post a picture of your chicken coop?

I'm rebuilding an old shed into a chicken coop. I'll get some day-old chicks when I finish the coop. I've been thinking of ordering them from Privett Hatchery in Portales, NM.

Best Regards, fellow New Mexican!
Bruce (Junkmanme near Gallup)

I'm in El Paso, but I might as well be in Las Cruces, NM because I LOVE it there! I'm going to NMSU there, studying to be an exotics/ag vet (that means chickens too!)
