When I first got this incubator I could not find any info on it. I figured I would post it here in hopes to maybe help someone in the future.

This company made multiple things including egg scales, baskets, fuel powered brooders, lanterns for incubators, mail boxes, butter churns etc. They went out of business in 1949. The factory is now a fire apparatus company. Made sometime in the 30s-late 40s? Made in Tipton Indiana. It's made of galvanized steel. Bottom of the unit gets flipped upside down (cardboard down) and the perforated tray sets on the bottom of the base while in use. It all sets inside of itself for storage. Has a window for viewing. Has a stamped brass tag to label the thermostat settings. Uses a wafer type thermostat. Nice design. Insulated and holds temp very well.

I will add some pictures of the inside soon.

Looking at the manufacturers tag it appears that you have a Model A2. I have a Model A6 that I have owned for over 30 years. I am in the process of trying to identify the problem with the thermostat on my incubator so that I can get it operational to hatch a few eggs. If you locate a vendor for parts for these units, please post the information for those of us still in possession of these older incubators. Hope you have a great day!

You can use any wafer to replace the one thats in th unit. You just have to bent the arm a little and bend the mesh cover so the arm/contact doesn't hit the mesh cover... I will try to take some pictures of mine tonight to show you.
Also do you have any pictures of yours?

they usely go for $50-75 ON EBAY this type mose parts interchangeable and pretty simple. I'd take one over a strofoam any day . Although I just use cabinet anymore. To help stableize heat you can put a quilt over in early season If working right and don't catch fire- don't forget eggs need air too. Never tryed it a auto turner might fit in there ?
